From Where It Started | Guisel's Crib

What's up madlang Pipz. It's me again Ghie, your storyteller of the day.

As the tagline of Sen. Idol Raffy Tulfo goes, 'Saludo kami sa lahat ng mga OFW,' I now realize what he meant. Being an OFW is a stroke of luck. Therefore, if you are fortunate enough to succeed as an OFW, you should learn to value all your sacrifices and explore opportunities for the betterment of your life.

Anyway, I'm not the primary breadwinner, but I still need to support my finances back home. Therefore, I'm searching for an extra job to add to my income.

At work, I met a colleague who eventually became my friend since he is from Iloilo and I am from Antique (adjacent provinces in Region 6-Western Visayas, Philippines), and we both understand our own dialects. As a new staff, I always asked him about things I didn't know, and he always gave me advice about the dos and don'ts. From there, we started to enjoy each other's company.

Meet Ceddy

His name is Cedric, but I call him Ceddy. I shared some of my financial problems with Ceddy, and he eventually offered me an opportunity to start blogging. In fact, Ceddy sold me his iMac to help me get started on writing content. Even though writing isn't my passion, I never hesitated about his offer because of Ceddy's assurance that he would guide me every step of the way. Surprisingly, Ceddy never fails me.

I am very thankful to God for meeting Ceddy, not only as a colleague but, most importantly, as a trustworthy, understanding, kind, and generous friend.
